This special weekend is in honor of Big Basin birds and butterflies and those who love them. Join us for field trips, guided bird and butterfly walks and talks, and an evening campfire presentation focusing on the varied winged life of Big Basin. In August 1974 the first Marbled Murrelet nest in North America was discovered at Big Basin Redwoods State Park. We will be celebrating the 40-year anniversary of this historic nest discovery on Aug. 1-3, 2014 at Wings Over the Basin.
